Abstract(s)
a discussão coletiva.
Abstract: The aim of this paper is to analyse how prospective teachers had been involving in a generalization process, when solving a task, included in a teaching experiment. Data were collected through participant observation supported by audio and video recordings, while the prospective teachers solved the task in autonomous work, organized in groups, but also during the whole class discussion. Prospective teachers show the ability to generalize, although with different levels of sophistication. Most of them were concerned with presenting the result using algebraic language, although natural language also played an important role. Also to be noted the role of the process of exemplifying as support to the generalizing process.
