O presente Trabalho Final de Mestrado é relativo ao estágio realizado no âmbito do Mestrado em Engenharia Civil, no Instituto Superior de Engenharia de Lisboa e tem como objectivo apresentar as atividades desenvolvidas e conhecimentos adquiridos durante o mesmo.
O estágio teve 4 meses de duração, iniciado a 2 de Julho de 2012, foi realizado na empresa STAP – Reparação, Consolidação e Modificação de Estruturas, S.A., onde o estagiário integrou a equipa de direção da empreitada de beneficiação da ETA de Morgavel.
A obra situou-se na Estação de Tratamento de Águas de Morgavel, em Sines. Esta consistiu na beneficiação de quatro tanques de filtragem,instalação de um novo soprador de ar e pinturas exteriores. A beneficiação dos tanques de filtragem consistiu na reabilitação estrutural dos tanques com recurso a betão projetado com aplicação malha de carbono, na modernização do sistema de filtragem de água e remodelação do sistema de saída de água filtrada.
A data de início do estágio coincidiu com o início dos trabalhos de remoção das areias e demolições. Durante o estágio houve a oportunidade de acompanhar as atividades de remoção de areias (manto filtrante), asdemolições e remoção do sistema de filtragem de água, a preparação de superfícies (hidrodecapagem), a selagem e injeção de fissuras nas paredes dos tanques, a reparação de betão, o reforço estrutural das paredes dos tanques com recurso a betão projetado e aplicação de malha de carbono, amontagem e instalação do novo sistema de filtragem de água, a renovação do sistema de saída de água filtrada e a instalação do novo soprador de ar.
O aluno participou em diversas atividades da gestão e produção de obra, tais como, acompanhamento e controlo de execução, controlo de qualidade, segurança e ambiente, controlo orçamental, planeamento, orçamentação,medições e contactos entre todos os intervenientes da obra, com o objectivo de controlo interno da qualidade e na resolução de incompatibilidades de projeto e alterações aos mesmos.
O estágio permitiu adquirir novos conhecimentos relacionados com a componente prática da profissão de engenheiro civil, aprofundar e pôr em prática os conhecimentos académicos adquiridos ao longo do curso, bem como promover um primeiro contacto com o mercado de trabalho.
Abstract: This Final Master Work was done concerning the internship as part of the Masters in Civil Engineering at Instituto Superior de Engenharia de Lisboa and it has the objective to present the activities developed and knowledge acquired during that period. The internship lasted for 4 months, it has started at two of July 2012 and was developed at STAP – Reparação, Consolidação e Modificação de Estruturas, S.A., where the intern was integrated in the engineer’s team, responsible for the contract of beneficiation of the water treatment plant of Morgavel. The construction site was located at the waters treatment plant of Morgavel, in Sines. This consisted in the beneficiation of four filtration tanks, installation of a new blower and some outside painting. The beneficiation of the filtration tanks consisted in the structural rehabilitation of the tanks by dry spray concrete with the application of carbon fiber mesh and modernization of the water filtration system and remodelling of the output system of filtered water. The start of the internship coincided with the beginning of the sand removal works and the demolition works. During the internship there was opportunity to follow the sand removal activities, the demolitions and removal of the water filtration system, the surface preparation by jetting, the sealing and injection of cracks in the walls of the tanks, concrete repair, structural reinforcement in the walls of the tank and carbon fiber mesh application, the assembly and installation of the new water filtration system, renewal of the output system of filtered water and the new blower installation. The student has participated in several activities from the management and production of the construction such as, follow up and executing control, quality control, security and environment, cost control, planning, budgeting, measurements and establishing contact between all intervenient parts of the construction, with the objective of an internal quality control and in theresolution of project incompatibilities and changes to these projects. The internship allowed to acquire related knowledge with the practical side of the civil engineer profession, intensify and put into practice the knowledge acquired during the academic course as well as promote a first contact with the labor marke.
