Abstract(s)
materiais, as relações sociais e a própria exploração/brincadeira a desenvolver surgem
ABSTRACT This report is integrated in the Supervised Professional Practice in kindergarten, the internship included in the master’s degree in Preschool Education. This document reflects all the work developed at a four-month internship, with a group of children aged between 4 and 5 years old, in a context where there’s an approach to the High/Scope curriculum model. After observing and reflecting on the educational context, there was a will to carry out an investigation related to the "Plan/Do/Review: what influences children's choices during play time” and, at that time, that became the title attributed to this report. Thus, it is presented a case study of a qualitative nature and the entire research process. In this study, it was essential to collect data through observation record, dialogues with children to understand their motivation for their choices, records on the number of times each area was chosen, and sociometric tests that assess social relationships of the group. As main conclusions, this study indicates that materials, social relations and play appear as the main factors influencing the child's choice on Plan/Do/Review time. This allows the kindergarten teacher to know how to improve time, space and materials organization throughout a pedagogical intention, to diversify the children's choice. This report is a contribution key to a professional practice development that calls for the observation, reflection and research of a future kindergarten teacher.
