Abstract(s)
Atualmente, as crianças passam pouco tempo a brincar na natureza, sendo que,
com a chegada do inverno o tempo passado no exterior é mais reduzido (Neto, 2020;
Erickson e Ernst, 2011). Segundo Neto (2020) menciona que ‘’A criança saudável tem
os joelhos esfolados’’, corre riscos e relaciona-se com a natureza.
A partir destas premissas, parti para a realização de uma investigação no contexto
de Jardim de Infância, no âmbito da Prática Profissional Supervisionada II. Fui integrada
como estagiária num grupo de 14 crianças dos 3 aos 6 anos, numa organização
socioeducativa situada no centro de Lisboa.
Na primeira parte do relatório é apresentada a caracterização do contexto, sendo
esta fundamental para definir as intenções para a ação educativa apresentadas no capítulo
seguinte. A segunda parte do relatório contempla a investigação realizada para responder
à questão que emergiu da observação do contexto.
Assim, os três objetivos da investigação são: (i) compreender os fatores
envolvidos na alteração das rotinas das crianças ao ar livre, quando surge o inverno; (ii)
compreender as vantagens e desvantagens de explorar a natureza no inverno, na
perspetiva de três atores: as crianças, as famílias e a educadora; (iii) identificar as
conceções da equipa educativa, das famílias e das crianças sobre brincar na natureza no
inverno. Para dar resposta a estas perguntas, adotei uma metodologia qualitativa,
seguindo as diretrizes do método do estudo de caso. Quanto às técnicas para a recolha de
dados, recorri à observação participante, análise documental, inquérito por questionário e
inquérito por entrevista. Através da investigação, concluí que brincar na natureza durante
o inverno não é uma prática comum para as crianças em Portugal, sendo que as suas
rotinas são alteradas nessa estação do ano. Porém, todos os intervenientes concordam que
brincar no inverno é possível e tem vantagens para as crianças a diversos níveis.
Por fim, o relatório inclui a construção da minha profissionalidade docente como
Educadora de Infância, onde reflito sobre as aprendizagens e os valores em que acredito
para a minha prática futura.
Abstract Nowadays, children spend less time playing in nature, specially during winter, when the weather conditions are not the most favorable (Neto, 2020; Erickson and Ernst, 2011). According to Neto (2020) a ''Healthy child has skinned knees'', takes risks and relates to nature. From these premises, I started to develop an investigation in the context of Kindergarten, within the framework of Supervised Professional Practice II. I was integrated as an intern in a group of 14 children from 3 to 6 years, in a socio-educational organization located in the center of Lisbon. In the first part of the report is presented the characterization of the context, which is fundamental to define the intentions for educational action presented in the following chapter. The second part of the report includes the research carried out to answer the question that emerged from the observation of the context. Thus, the three objectives of the investigation are: (i) to understand the factors involved in changing the routines of children outdoors, when winter arrives; (ii) understand the advantages and disadvantages of exploring nature in winter from the perspective of three actors: children, families and the educator; (iii) identify the conceptions of the education team, families and children about playing in nature during winter. To answer these questions, I adopted a qualitative methodology, following the guidelines of the case study method. Regarding the techniques for data collection, I resorted to participant observation, documentary analysis, questionnaire and interview survey. Through research, I concluded that playing in nature during winter is not a common practice for children in Portugal. Furthermore, their routines are changed during this time of year. However, all stakeholders agree that is possible to play in nature during winter and that this activity has advantages for children on several levels. Finally, the report includes the construction of my teacher professionality as a Childhood Educator, where I reflect on the learning and values I believe in for my future practice.
