Modos de Fazer-Ver a Obra Coreográfica — A Construção da Identidade Coreográfica a partir de Victor Hugo Pontes é um estudo dedicado à obra e ao percurso do coreógrafo português Victor Hugo Pontes, explorando os processos de criação, as práticas colaborativas e os recursos expressivos que definem a sua identidade coreográfica.
Este livro resulta da investigação realizada no âmbito do projeto "Modos de fazer ver a obra coreográfica – o percurso de Victor Hugo Pontes", financiado pelo Concurso de Investigação, Desenvolvimento, Inovação e Criação Artística (IDI&CA)dinamizado pelo Instituto Politécnico de Lisboa, 2023.
A investigação foi conduzida por João Fernandes e Madalena Xavier, ambos Professores Coordenadores da Escola Superior de Dança do Instituto Politécnico de Lisboa e membros integrados do INET-md (Instituto de Etnomusicologia — Centro de Estudos em Música e Dança).
A obra propõe uma reflexão aprofundada sobre os modos de materializar, analisar e compreender a obra coreográfica contemporânea em Portugal.
Abstract - Ways of Making the Choreographic Work Visible — The Construction of Choreographic Identity through Victor Hugo Pontes* is a study dedicated to the work and career of Portuguese choreographer Victor Hugo Pontes, exploring the creative processes, collaborative practices, and expressive resources that define his choreographic identity. This book is the result of research conducted under the project "Ways of Making the Choreographic Work Visible – The Career of Victor Hugo Pontes," funded by the 2023 Research, Development, Innovation, and Artistic Creation (IDI&CA) competition organized by the Polytechnic Institute of Lisbon. The research was conducted by João Fernandes and Madalena Xavier, both Coordinating Professors at the School of Dance of the Polytechnic Institute of Lisbon and full members of INET-md (Institute of Ethnomusicology — Centre for Studies in Music and Dance). The work offers an in-depth reflection on the ways of materializing, analyzing, and understanding contemporary choreographic work in Portugal.
