Abstract(s)
O presente relatório foi realizado no âmbito da Unidade Curricular de Prática
Profissional Supervisionada II (PPS II) e tem como principal objetivo apresentar e refletir
sobre a prática pedagógica e trabalho desenvolvido durante um período de cerca de
quatro meses (14 semanas), num contexto de jardim de infância (JI) na cidade de
Lisboa.
O mesmo documento apresenta como tema de investigação uma análise sobre
as conceções das crianças sobre o brincar no JI. O tema surgiu a partir da constatação
da vontade das crianças em brincar e espoletou em mim a vontade de saber mais sobre:
(i) o papel do brincar na vida das crianças da sala 3, (ii) a forma como o tempo, o espaço
e os recursos influenciam as brincadeiras no JI; e (iii) o papel da educadora de infância
em relação ao brincar na ação pedagógica.
Metodologicamente, este relatório assume uma investigação de natureza
qualitativa, a partir do desenvolvimento de um estudo de caso, para o qual utilizei
diversas técnicas de recolha de informação tais como a observação, a entrevista e a
consulta documental. Para complementar utilizei registos fotográficos e notas de campo
(diários de campo) como instrumentos.
Através da elaboração do presente relatório e respetiva investigação tive a
oportunidade de aprofundar os meus conhecimentos sobre o brincar no contexto de JI,
ao compreender o papel de elevada importância que esta atividade desempenha na
vida das crianças e, ainda, o modo como o tempo, o espaço e os recursos influenciam
as suas brincadeiras e o papel relevante que enquanto educadora de infância deverei
ter em relação ao brincar na ação pedagógica.
ABSTRACT The present report was written under the subject of Supervised Teaching Practice II (STP II). Its main goal is to reflect over my pedagogical practice developed during fourteen weeks of work in a nursery school, in Lisbon, presenting the outcomes. This document is entitled “The children´s conceptions of playing in the Preschool” which is my research subject. It was born out of the constant need and wish of playing, which led me to rationalise over: (i) the sort of role playing takes part in the lives of the children from classroom 3; in which way time, space and resources influence playing and gaming in the Preschool and (iii) what role plays the Preschool teacher when it comes both to playing and pedagogical action. Therefore, I performed a qualitative investigation, developing a case study, in order to find it an answer using different research techniques, such as direct observation, surveys (interviews) and document analysis. The previous data was complemented by photographic material and field diaries. Through this investigation and further report writing process, I had the chance to deepen my knowledge over the playing act in the Preschool, highlighting its major importance in these children’s lives, how time, space and each resource influence their play, as well as the relevance that I, as a Preschool teacher, shall devote to play within the pedagogical action.
