Abstract(s)

This research took place between october 2018 and january 2019, in Kindergarten and in an institution that crosses different pedagogical models (High Scope, Modern School Movement [MSM] and Reggio Emilia), with the follow-up of a group of 25 children between 4 and 6 years of age. It’s a compilation of all the work, intervention and research, done with this group, as a trainee educator, with a description, explanation and personal reflection on how it developed. The socio-educational context, the pedagogical action and the intentions that sustained it, as well as the repercussion that these aspects had on the construction of my professionality as a kindergarten teacher were made known. This report also presents the research carried out in the context, which falls on a moment of the routine of children, the moment of Communications. With the main purpose of understanding the potential of children’s communication for the construction of learning, and as a way of effecting it, the children’s communications were recorded and their discourses and interactions analyzed, taking into account the role that peers and adults play in moments of communication. It should also be pointed out that the research contemplates a theoretical framework that reveals the provenance of the moment of Communications, which is from MSM, and contextualizes it within the framework of this pedagogical model of pre-school education, demonstrating its potentialities, as well as external factors, for the construction of children’s learning. In methodological terms, the research is the research is a qualitative case study, using different techniques of data collection and analysis. The presentation and discussion of the data reveals, finally, the dynamics of the group at the moment of Communications; the cognitive, sociocultural and linguistic potential provided by the moment and the surrounding environment; and what roles peers and adults play.
