Abstract(s)
estabelecido no Estágio.
No
ABSTRACT: The internship final report, which will be here presented, was developed in the context of the Complementary Practices of Dance discipline, at the Choreographic Composition, which was a choice of the Cooperating School. The host institution was the Vocational School of Dance of Caldas da Rainha. The target audience for this study was divided in two groups, a 7th grade class, with seventeen students, and a 8th grade class with seven students, both inserted in the Basic Course of Dance of the 3rd Cycle. This decision was taken in order to comply with the number of hours established for this internship. Therefore, only the 8th grade class was lead to a final product, the academic year-end show, called “Ehxibition of yoursel”, however, the 7th grade class also had the chance to experience all the contents taught to the other class. On what concerns to the theme, we sought through a choreographic process to effectively implement methodological and pedagogic strategies that are able to arouse in the students a greater awareness of everything they do, how they do it and in which way they do it, as well as to understand what they feel and what are their emotions and feelings. Therefore, it is essential to develop in the students a critical and reflective look on themselves and about everything that surrounds them, awakening their creativity. The search for their own identity was the starting point of this process, resulting from different stimuli and improvisation as a tool for creation. In this way, we managed to get quickly to the purpose of the message that the students intended to convey, staying true to themselves, leading them to a construction/transformation of their own essence. On what concerns to the pedagogic practice there were used techniques such as: Observation Grids, Logbooks, Photographic and Videographic Records and a Final Questionnaire, which form part of the methodology of action research.
