Abstract(s)
No âmbito de um projeto de investigação mais vasto designado “Representações
de países lusófonos nos média portugueses”, que partiu da análise da cobertura
jornalística das eleições legislativas, autárquicas e presidenciais de 2016,
efetuada por nove média noticiosos portugueses, constatámos uma forte
dependência dos órgãos de comunicação social portugueses em relação à
agência Lusa. Consideramos pertinente analisar a produção noticiosa da Lusa
sobre aqueles atos eleitorais. Em concreto, pretendemos saber, com base na
recolha e tratamento e material de arquivo da Lusa: (i) que opções editoriais
orientaram a cobertura da Lusa e o que revelam sobre a cobertura eleitoral que a
agência fez deste país africano de língua portuguesa; (ii) que diferenças houve,
se as houve, no investimento eleitoral nas três eleições.
ANSTRACT: Within the scope of a larger research project called “Representations of Lusophone countries in the Portuguese media”, which started with the analysis of the journalistic coverage of the 2016 legislative, local and presidential elections, carried out by nine Portuguese news media, we found a strong dependence on the organs of portuguese media in relation to the Lusa agency. We consider it pertinent to analyze the news production of Lusa on those electoral acts. Specifically, we intend to know, based on the collection and treatment and archival material of Lusa: (i) what editorial options have guided Lusa's coverage and what they reveal about the coverage the agency has made of this Portuguese-speaking African country; (ii) what differences there were, if any, in the electoral investment in the three elections.
