Abstract(s)
O presente projeto propõe um estudo teórico (1.ª parte) e prático (2.ª parte – vide anexo I e II)
sobre o processo de adaptação do monólogo teatral “O espectador” de Daniel Freitas, para um
argumento cinematográfico. Neste texto dramático, um dos temas principais é a relação do
público com o teatro, a partir do olhar de um espectador que decide tomar um espetáculo para
si. Convocam-se então, conceitos que identificam a relação entre o cinema e o teatro, bem
como, alguns elementos utilizados na interação com os seus espectadores. Do mesmo modo,
este estudo propõe-se a compreender a adaptação entre estas diferentes linguagens, além de
analisar o próprio processo de transposição desta peça. Mesmo sem alterar o tema central,
conclui-se que o caminho entre a obra original e o resultado da adaptação, reveste-se de uma
grande transformação, tanto para a estrutura do texto, como da própria personagem principal,
decorrente do respeito pela verossimilhança e ligação com os espectadores.
ABSTRACT - The present project proposes a theoretical (1st part) and practical (2nd part – see annex I and II) study on the adaptation process of the theatrical monologue “The spectador” by Daniel Freitas, to a cinematic argument. In this dramatic text, one of the main themes is the audience's relationship with the theater, from the perspective of a spectator who decides to take over a show. Concepts are then called upon, that identify the relationship between cinema and theater, as well as some elements used in the interaction with the viewers. Furthermore, this study aims to understand the adaptation process between these two different languages (cinema and theater), in addition to analyzing the transposition process of this piece. Even without altering the central theme, we concluded that the path between the original work and the final result of the adaptation, underwent a major transformation, both on the structure of the text and on the main character itself, due to the respect for the verisimilitude and the connection with the audience.
