O presente relatório final de estágio insere-se no campo de ação do curso de Mestrado em Ensino de Dança da Escola Superior de Dança – Instituto Politécnico de Lisboa. Reflete para a lecionação, no ano letivo 2023/2024, nas disciplinas de técnica de dança clássica e de repertório contemporâneo, na Escola Artística do Conservatório de Música de Coimbra. Este relatório teve como objeto de estudo estudantes do 6º grau do Curso Secundário de Dança (10º ano do ensino regular), cujas idades estão compreendidas entre os 15-16 anos. A área de intervenção pedagógica em que se insere este estudo decorre na disciplina de técnica de dança clássica, apoiando-se no método e na linguagem de George Balanchine. Pretende-se com esta investigação exponenciar a execução técnica e artística dos estudantes, através do desenvolvimento e melhoria dos elementos de dança em contexto de aula, a partir dos conteúdos de movimento da técnica de dança clássica. Utilizar-se-á o contexto da disciplina de repertório contemporâneo, para a aprendizagem de um excerto da peça coreográfica In the middle Somewhat Elevated, de William Forsythe, como estratégia para o desenvolvimento e melhoria destes conteúdos, promovendo, assim, uma maior consciência dos estudantes na aprendizagem das suas competências técnicas e artísticas e uma relação interdisciplinar. Culminando numa apresentação pública do excerto referenciado. Foi necessário pesquisar também outras temáticas, tais como: a técnica de Balanchine, com
um pequeno enquadramento histórico sobre a origem e conteúdos da sua metodologia e sobre a linguagem coreográfica de William Forsythe, bem como uma análise mais profunda da peça coreográfica In the middle Somewhat Elevated. A metodologia aplicada foi investigação - ação, recorrendo-se a tabelas de observação, diário de bordo, questionários fechados, questionários abertos e vídeos como instrumentos de recolha de dados. Foi conseguida uma mudança positiva nas estudantes com o estágio, bem como, uma boa apresentação do excerto referenciado..
Abstract This internship proposal is part of the Master's Degree in Dance Teaching at Escola Superior de Dança – Instituto Politécnico de Lisboa. This internship report was thought to be applied in the year 2023/2024, on the discipline of classical dance technique and contemporary dance repertory, at the Escola Artística do Conservatório de Música de Coimbra. This project had as object of study students of the 6th grade of the Secondary Dance Course (10th year of regular education), whose ages are between 15-16 years old. The area of pedagogical intervention in which this study is inserted takes place in the discipline of classical dance technique, based on the method and language of George Balanchine. The aim of this investigation is to enhance students' technical and artistic execution, through the development and improvement of dance elements in the classroom context, based on the movement content of classical dance technique. The context of the contemporary repertoire discipline will be used to learn an excerpt from the choreographic piece “In the middle Somewhat Elevated”, by William Forsythe, as a strategy for the development and improvement of these contents, thus promoting greater student awareness in learning their technical and artistic skills and an interdisciplinary relationship. Culminating in a public presentation of the referenced excerpt. It was also necessary to research other themes, such as: Balanchine's technique, with a small historical framework on the origin and contents of his methodology and William Forsythe's choreographic language, as well as a deeper analysis of the choreographic piece “In the Middle Somewhat Elevate”’. The methodology applied was research - action, using observation tables, logbooks, closed questionnaires, open questionnaires and videos as data collection instruments. A positive change was achieved in the students with the internship, as well as a good presentation of the referenced excerpt.
