Abstract(s)
âmbito do espetáculo "Welcome to my place", dinamizado pela EDLP.
ABSTRACT: The current Intership report was written as a part of the Master Course in Dance Teacher Training, at Escola Superior de Dança of Instituto Politécnico de Lisboa, after completing the studies and the professional intership in Escola de Dança Lugar Presente (EDLP), in Viseu, included in the subject of Creative Expression, during the academic year of 2015/2016. This intervention focused on a group of fourteen 3rd grade students of na Official Dance Course, aged between 12 and 16. The main goals of this intership were the implementation of classroom' strategies in order to develop interpersonal relationships betwen students and a permanent analysis of the work that was being accomplished. Thus, we aimed to understand whether the relationships that the students were establishing between themselves over time influence their academic and personal development, considering the challenges of adolescence, the development stage they are facing. For that matter, we also intent to create a classroom environment that would promote the development of the students' creative, expressive and communicative skills. Exercise and sessions' planning was constantly being adapted to the response of the classroom and to the needs of the cooperative school. We promoted the relationships between the students, taking into account the content of the subject's program, through exercises that required interactions based on cooperation, sharing and trust. We carried out work to raise the awareness of diversity and to promote mutual respect and understanding, in order to ensure that the students would increase their social and cultural openess. This intership was based on a qualitative research methodology, supported by the characteristics of Research-Action, and the application of different instruments for data collection in the multiple stipulated modalities. Before ending the last modality, we developed and publicly presented a small choreographic creation in a performance called "Welcome to my place", promoted by EDL.
