Abstract(s)
mecanismos utilizados nesse transporte.
ABSTRACT - Contextualized within a Master’s in Choreographic Creation and Professional Practice (Superior School of Dance) and by a specialization in Choreography, Kaput! is the result of an investigation focused on a specific choreographic understanding that facilitated the creation of a solo performance. The redefinition of the concept of choreography began with a synthetic conception of the body as an abstract entity, whose spatial displacements are the units for choreographic composition. This composition stems from combinatorial processes rooted in mathematics. As a result, the idea of 'all choreography' arised and consequently a prototype for its materialization was proposed. Thus, the term 'choreographic object' was coined to characterize Kaput! as an artistic object, which was presented in a lecture-performance format. Initially Kaput! was inspired by a thematic elaboration developed in response to the narrative of the musical theater piece Little Shop of Horrors. The creative process eventually evolved into a research on the choreographic material itself. This shift was triggered by the search for a balance between the creative intentions and the studio practice. The analytical and logical approach that guided this research away from the studio allowed the creation of specific choreographic conditions for the project. These were founded on particular premises concerning the definition of body, movement and choreography – all of them enhanced by an almost autonomous choreographic composition mechanism. Once back in the studio, the embodiment of the generated materials took place. In this final phase, the aim was the direct transfer of these concepts into the body awareness and movement experience, as well as the mechanisms used for this transposition. The final Kaput! presentations shared not only the choreographic object but also the creative journey. They included moments of verbal and illustrative exposition, activation of the choreography and conversation with the audience.
