eram raparigas e 2 eram rapazes.
estruturante do allegro.
transversalidade a outras técnicas.
ABSTRACT - This study aims to contribute to strengthening technical skills, more specifically with regard to the sauter action, within the Classical Dance Technique class, using the teaching methodology developed by Barbara Fewster, a methodologist and eminent master in the art of Classical Dance. The sample consisted of a 2nd year class at the Dance School of the Orfeão de Leiria - Conservatório de Artes, with a total of 13 students, of whom 11 were girls and 2 were boys. To this end, 2 set classes were developed, based on basic movements to develop the ballon, by increasing the number of repetitions, aiming for the effectiveness of the lengthening-shortening cycle, seeking to improve the ability to jump/ballon, its control and the desired elevation. The focus of the work was on the jump in 1st position of the feet, as an elementary jump in the basic structure of Classical Dance in the primary years, since it is the structuring content of the allegro. For reasons related to the age group of the students and the particular moment of their physical and osteoarticular development, particular attention was paid to the conditions of each individual, especially with regard to valorizing their natural inclination. In methodological terms, the project fell within the action-research paradigm. The tools used to collect data were audiovisual recordings, observation grids, a logbook, and the My Jump 2 application was used to measure jump height (sauté in 1st). The aim was to find solutions without adding extra hours to the sample, in order to obtain results that fostered the acquisition of skills and knowledge of the action under study. The aim was to draw conclusions about the results of the execution of the jumping action, the increase in ballon and the use of the methodology in the study in Specialised Artistic Education. This study proved to be positive in terms of the results obtained in terms of jump height, proving the effectiveness of the Barbara Fewster methodology in promoting the action under study, including its transversality to other techniques.
