Abstract(s)
It is indisputable that multimedia complexity of today’s communication contributes to a sophistication of media narratives. Digital platforms are meeting places where we learn, participate, and get deeply involved, which means that digital narratives provide powerful spaces for civic and public engagement to be explored in academic work. This communication proposes the presentation of “Revista Narrativas”, as a multimedia collaborative magazine for future journalists, that aims to offer students the chance to develop skills of autonomy, responsibility, critical thinking, creativity, and communication in their relationship with their colleagues and information. Contributing to the creation of “Revista Narrativas” means being able to research, evaluate, use, and think about narrative with a journalistic approach and make it available in a digital environment. Challenging journalism students to question and explore their major concerns contributes to the development of multicultural and inclusive narratives that are pooling academia, youth, the community, and the public space.
