Abstract(s)
O presente estudo tem como principal objetivo analisar a forma como dois jornais
diários nacionais, o Jornal de Notícias e o Correio da Manhã, noticiam um mesmo
acontecimento: o caso de acusação da alegada violação de Cristiano Ronaldo a Kathryn
Mayorga. A acusação da suposta violência de género é trabalhada a partir da hipótese do
framing, aplicada aos estudos de jornalismo. A forma como os media representam o
mundo tende a levar os indivíduos a conhecer e a pensar a realidade em seu redor de
determinada forma. Neste sentido, levou-se a cabo uma análise de conteúdo aos textos
jornalísticos publicados por estes dois jornais entre 1 setembro de 2018 a 30 de setembro
de 2019. Da investigação efetuada resulta uma clara distinção no tratamento noticioso do
caso em ambas as publicações. A presença de frames nas notícias, ao longo da análise do
acontecimento, é muito presente, o que nos permite identificar diferentes culturas
jornalísticas e, por isso, distintas chaves de interpretação. Consequentemente, permite o
entendimento da construção e do processamento do discurso noticioso e o modo como
diferentes formas de apresentar um assunto influenciam a decisão do leitor, tanto na
perceção da notícia, como na formação de opinião.
ABSTRACT: The main objective of this study is to analyze the way as two national daily newspapers, Jornal de Notícias and Correio da Manhã, report the same event: the case of accusation of the alleged violation of Cristiano Ronaldo against Kathryn Mayorga. The alleged accusation of gender violence is based on the framing hypothesis, applied to journalism studies. The way the media represent the world tends to lead individuals to know and think about the reality around them in a certain way. In this sense, a content analysis was carried out using the journalistic texts published by these two newspapers between September 1st, 2018 and September 30th, 2019. From this investigation it is clear the distinction in the news treatment of the case in both publications. The presence of frames in the news, throughout the analysis of the event, is very present, which allows us to identify different journalistic cultures and, therefore, different interpretation keys. Consequently, it allows the understanding of the construction and processing of news discourse and how different ways of presenting a subject influence the reader's decision, both in the perception of the news and in the formation of opinion.
