Abstract(s)
e áreas disciplinares do ensino básico geral.
coreografia intitulada Dançando a Matemática‖.
Dance, with its universal approach could be an asset as artistic activity to overcome difficulties of a particular school area. As Gardner says, when referring to the various types of intelligence, the contribution of dance can help to overcome difficulties in another area for the sake of obtaining new learning. That is, the intelligence body / kinesthetic shown in this artistic area may form the basis of teaching strategy to other areas of knowledge where it is intended, for example, logical reasoning / mathematician. Thus, based on the educational intervention implemented an internship in Dance Education Specialist in School Year 2014/2015, and in line with the Master in Dance Education, Dance School, it was possible to develop an interdisciplinary education, respecting the Creative Expression course content, as part of the syllabus of vocational training courses in dance with the mathematics discipline content, as part of the curriculum goals and subject areas of general basic education. The approach to mathematics was decided after it has found that this subject area students were more difficult, the success rate was lower compared to other regular teaching subjects and students showed less interest in learning. Thus, the pedagogical intervention was based on a methodology that addressed the content and objectives of the Creative Expression with stimuli of mathematics discipline in order to consolidate its enabling content that students experience a practical approach from the use of the body and exploitation movement that was beyond the conventional transmission of vocational education. The dance lessons were developed in accordance with the connection of the contents of both disciplines and the school year ended with the final presentation of a choreography untitled "Dancing mathematics."
