Abstract(s)
ABSTRACT - At the end of this year, at the Chiado National Museum of Contemporary Art, postgraduate students in Media & Performance: Creative Technology Laboratory will present an installation where they worked and developed laboratory relationships between performance and the various disciplines they attended throughout their studies course. This postgraduate course is part of the contemporary context of reciprocal rapprochement between the performance and performing arts and various technological and artistic disciplines. Despite being anchored in the theatrical/performative ecosystem, this postgraduate degree aims to accompany and promote new ways of conceiving the scenic device in 3 ways: Seizure of a comprehensive set of technological tools; Laboratory artistic experimentation; Dialogue with creatives and thinkers who develop their work in related areas (technological, or artistic, or both). In this way, it intends to follow some recognizable trends in contemporary times, including: tendency towards scenic dematerialization (and consequent virtualization); virtualization of the actor/performer and the integration of various non-hierarchical media.
