Abstract(s)
ABSTRACT This report was prepared as part of the Supervised Teaching Practice course, with a class of the 3rd year of the 1st cycle of Basic Education, and consists of a reflexive analysis about the observation of the educational context, the construction of the Intervention project, the pedagogical intervention and its relation with our previous academic course. As a result of this experience, there was an investigation on the school - family relationships, which was based on the typology developed by Epstein (1997). In the scope of our investigation we used several research techniques, for instance , observation, survey and interview. It is important to emphasize that during the investigation we always had total availability of the parents and a cooperating teacher. The results show that there was a very positive relationship in the group where we conducted the research, as opposed to the different experiences that we had in other contexts of intervention in other public schools. Parents accompany and support the educational journey of their children either through informal activities they do at home or through the cooperation they establish with the school.
