Abstract(s)
Este projeto tem como principal objetivo caracterizar a técnica de pizzicato de
três dedos, utilizada pelo contrabaixista Niels Henning Orsted Pedersen. Embora haja
material para estudo da técnica, existe pouca investigação no que toca às vantagens da
sua utilização em relação à técnica de pizzicato tradicional. Este estudo terá como
metodologia a análise dos métodos existentes para aprendizagem da técnica de pizzicato
e três dedos, a realização de um questionário a Jimmi Roger Pedersen (aluno de NHOP
e autor do método Scandinavian Double Bass Technique – Right Hand I), e o registo de
excertos musicais para analisar comparativamente a técnica tradicional e a técnica de
pizzicato de três dedos. No final deste relatório debatem-se os resultados obtidos e
formulam-se as conclusões sobre a utilização da técnica de pizzicato de três dedos.
Abstract - The main purpose of this paper is to characterize the three finger pizzicato technique, developed by the double bass player Niels Henning Orsted Pedersen. Although there are available methods for the practice of the technique, there is a lack of research on what advantages the double bass player can get through the use of this technique when compared with the use of the traditional one. The methodology of this paper is based on: the analysis of the existing methods for learning the three finger pizzicato technique; a questionnaire sent to Jimmi Roger Pedersen (NHOP student and author of Scandinavian Double Bass Technique –Right Hand 1), and the recording of musical samples to analyze comparatively the traditional technique and the three finger technique. At the end of this report the final results of the research are discussed so that eventual conclusions about the use of the three finger pizzicato technique can be drawn.
