A música de raiz Tradicional Portuguesa tem cada vez mais preponderância na sociedade em Portugal, e como tal, tem havido uma necessidade de adaptar o estilo Tradicional com uma linguagem mais moderna. Uma das consequências desta adaptação passa pelo instrumento bateria, instrumento este que por ser polirrítmico tem necessariamente de fazer uma conversão entre as monorritmias Tradicionais Portuguesas originais para polirritmias.
O objetivo deste trabalho, num primeiro momento, é analisar se é possível a sistematização na conversão de ritmos e monorritmias tradicionais portuguesas para polirritmias/padrões rítmicos na bateria? Num segundo momento, o propósito é converter e adaptar uma seleção de ritmos tradicionais portugueses para a bateria. Através de uma investigação de foro exploratório, os resultados apresentados sugerem uma sistematização na adaptação destas linguagens, e uma tendência benéfica no impacto sociocultural numa sociedade preocupada com a sua evolução educacional e cultural.
ABSTRACT - The Portuguese music with Traditional Roots is becoming more and more preponderant in the Portuguese Society nowadays. This fact leads to a necessity to adapt the traditional music to a more modern style. In order to accomplish this adaptation, the use of the drum-kit is crucial. Due to the polyrhythmic nature of this instrument, it is necessary to convert the traditional monorhythmic patterns into modern polyrhythmic patterns. The purpose of this work at first is to analyze the possibility of systematization in the conversion of Portuguese Traditional rhythms and monorhythmic patterns into polyrhythmic patterns on the drum-kit. Secondly, the purpose is to convert and adapt a selection of Portuguese’s traditional rhythms for the drum-kit. The results of an exploiting research suggest that it is possible to systemize the conversion of traditional rhythms or monorhythmic patterns into polyrhythmic patterns. It also tends to bring a beneficial socio-cultural impact in a society concerned with the educational and cultural development.
