Abstract(s)
ABSTRACT- This project was born from the desire of two creatives, two friends, to answer some questions while placing even more on the table. There is an urgency to reconnect and value the body as more than just a means of carrying out tasks, as well as to examine the role of sexuality in society. Atopos was the name chosen for the choreographic creation that emerged from this challenge. As Roland Barthes describes, it is the figure the lover creates of the one they love. Thus, it is about speaking of love and yet making the other into something they are not entirely. No one is free from the place that is created for them. However, this report aims to reflect on the first steps, almost like a ritual, of my creative practice, or what could become a working methodology. I aim to understand the place of my motivations and whether they could serve as a method for tracing relevant concepts to become an artistic object, as well as what I stand for and what lies behind the decisions I make in my creative process. In shaping these questions—from the research phase to creation and performance—there is a guiding thread where the beginnings of formalizing a thought are outlined, without reaching any definitive conclusions.
