Quais as perspectivas das crianças, da família e da equipa educativa face à escola da floresta?

O presente relatório pretende expor, por um lado a minha jornada ao longo do período de estágio numa sala de jardim de infância, na qual fui recebida por um grupo de 21 crianças entre os 3 e os 5 anos. E por outro lado, um estudo, que se integrou inteiramente no meu estágio e que visou responder à questão “Quais as perspectivas das crianças, da família e da equipa educativa face á escola da floresta?”. Com este estudo procurou-se (i) Averiguar como é vivida a experiência de idas à floresta pelas crianças; (ii) Compreender como as famílias veem as idas à floresta e (iii) Entender qual a visão da equipa educativa acerca da escola floresta. Sendo que o estudo se realizou integrado no estágio que ocorreu numa IPSS com equipamento de creche e jardim de infância de um bairro de Lisboa. Durante a minha prática consegui definir as minhas intenções para ação baseadas no respeito e na participação dos vários agentes educativos. Para responder aos objetivos do estudo recorri a uma abordagem mista, recolhendo os dados através de observações diretas, entrevistas à equipa educativa e questionários às famílias. Pude concluir que a Escola da Floresta é uma excelente iniciativa que conecta as crianças à natureza, onde acontece um desenvolvimento holístico com experiências arriscadas que promovem um comportamento pró-ativo. Para além de ter tido a oportunidade de constatar no final do estudo que as crianças elas vivem com muito entusiasmo as sessões de escola da floresta e que tanto as famílias como a equipa educativa tem consciente as vantagens e o significado da Escola da Floresta para o desenvolvimento das crianças. Pois “trabalhar com crianças em jardim de infância é puderes ser um mediador entre criança e o mundo, apoiares neste contato” (E.V). Após o término de todo o processo foi importante refletir acerca da construção da minha futura profissionalidade como base para continuar o meu crescimento enquanto educadora de infância, pois durante as duas PPS I e II houve um grande processo de crescimento através da partilha de experiências, desafios e reflexões.
The purpose of this report is to describe my journey during my internship in a kindergarten classroom, where I was welcomed by a group of 21 children aged between 3 and 5. On the other hand, it's a study, which was entirely part of my internship and which aimed to answer the question “What are the perspectives of the children, the family and the educational team towards the forest school?”. The aim of this study was (i) to find out how children experience going to the forest; (ii) to understand how families view going to the forest and (iii) to understand the educational team's view regarding forest school. The study was carried out as part of an internship at an IPSS with nursery and kindergarten facilities in a Lisbon neighbourhood. During my practice, I was able to define my intentions for my actions based on the respect and participation of the various educational agents. To meet the objectives of the study, I used a mixed methods approach, collecting data through direct observations, interviews with the educational team, questionnaires with families and document analysis. I was able to conclude that the forest school is an excellent initiative that connects children to nature, where holistic development takes place with risky experiences that promote proactive behaviour. In addition to having the opportunity to observe at the end of the study that children are very enthusiastic about the forest school sessions and that both families and the educational team are aware of the advantages and significance of the Forest School for children's development. Because “working with children in kindergarten means you can be a mediator between the child and the world, supporting this contact” (E.V)1. At the end of the whole process, it was important to reflect on the construction of my future professionalism as a basis for continuing my growth as an educator, because during the two PPS I and II there was a great process of growth through the sharing of experiences, challenges and reflections.
