Abstract(s)
ABSTRACT - Formal and methodological issues relating to the creation and participation of audiences in the theatrical phenomenon are important in the conceptualization of Theater and Community practices, as they constitute differentiating elements between this type of theater and the other type of theater, the conventional or the classical theater. Thus, this dissertation aims to identify and analyze the characteristics of creation and participation of audiences present in the different theatrical dynamics experienced in Mozambique since 1975, with special attention to the decade from 2010 to 2020. From a temporal journey, which consists of locating the different styles, genres and intentions that Mozambican theater has assumed over time, we seek to understand the nuances of Theater and Community, present in its various ways of creating and reaching the public. This study also challenges an attempt to systematize theatrical events over the 45 years of independence, in response to the scarcity of documents and academic studies in this area, which exists in the country.
