dc.description.abstractThe relationship between executive compensation and corporate performance has been studied in the scope of management accounting through the analysis of forms of compensation and their relationships with the items of accounting features. However, there is still few empirical evidence of the effects of executive compensation in the corporation’s performance. In this way, this communication aims to serve as a starting point for a future research based on a review of the relevant literature, using a multiple linear regression model that aims to highlight how the components of compensation might influence the improvement of profitability and growth indicators of organizations.pt_PT
