| dc.description.abstract | A relevância da literacia financeira foi realçada pelos efeitos da crise financeira de 2008, que veio comprovar a importância da educação como um pilar para a estabilidade financeira, munindo os indivíduos de conhecimentos e competências que lhes permitam gerir eficazmente o seu património financeiro. De acordo com o 2º Inquérito à Literacia Financeira da População Portuguesa, os portugueses apresentam um nível relativamente baixo de literacia financeira, verificando-se uma relação positiva entre esta e fatores como o nível de rendimento e escolaridade e uma tendência de sobrevalorização dos conhecimentos. O empreendedorismo, por seu lado, tem conquistado progressivamente o seu espaço no ambiente empresarial português, desempenhando atualmente um papel fulcral na dinâmica empresarial nacional, principalmente no sector tecnológico. Com o objetivo de avaliar a influência do nível de literacia financeira no desenvolvimento de novos negócios, foi aplicado um inquérito por questionário a 125 empreendedores portugueses. Conclui-se que estes possuem um bom nível de literacia financeira, não sobrestimando os seus conhecimentos. Os empreendedores demonstram resiliência após o insucesso, agindo principalmente com base na oportunidade e não sendo muito frequente a participação em cursos ou clubes de empreendedorismo. | pt_PT |
| dc.description.abstract | The relevance of financial literacy was emphasized by the effects of 2008 financial crisis, which demonstrated the importance of education as a foundation for financial stability by supplying individuals with knowledge and skills that allow them to effectively manage their financial assets. According to the 2nd Survey on the Financial Literacy of the Portuguese Population, the portuguese showed a relatively low level of financial literacy, proving a positive correlation between a good level of financial literacy and variables such as the level of income and education, and the tendency to knowledge’s overvaluation. Entrepreneurship, on the other hand, has gradually conquered its space in the portuguese business environment, currently playing a key role in the national business dymanics, mainly in the technology sector. In order to evaluate the influence of the level of financial literacy in the development of new businesses, a survey was applied to 125 portuguese entrepreneurs. The results have shown a good level of financial literacy, not overestimating their knowledge. Entrepreneurs prove themselves resilient after failure, acting primarily on an opportunity basis and don’t usually attend entrepreneurship courses or clubs. | pt_PT |
