| dc.description.abstract | Álbum ou “ALBUS1” tem origem no latim e significa “branco”: “Em tempos clássicos, era o livro em branco onde o Pontífice Máximo registava factos transcorridos durante o ano, bem como nomes importantes.”. Neste projeto, o “ALBUS” ganha mais dimensões, da folha de papel cresce uma coleção que se pode absorver com todos os sentidos. Este processo surge da cocriação entre dois artistas com raízes na mesma terra que se provocam a desacelerar para poder observar melhor os ciclos da natureza e de si mesmos. A partir daqui surgem questões que não têm como princípio serem respondidas, mas sim exploradas: Como é que entender os ciclos que nos rodeiam, nos ajuda a viver melhor as diferentes fases? Como olhar para os ciclos e ver a dualidade das passagens? Como é que compreender o ciclo pode trazer a aceitação do fim? Para o nosso laboratório começámos por reunir materiais relacionados às questões que foram surgindo “por analogia ou associação morfológica (forma e estrutura), semântica (significados e evocações psicológicas) e sensorial (textura, cor, aroma, sabor, luz e as suas inflexões, sons)”2. Deparámo-nos com um chão atolado de tecidos, memórias, experiências gráficas, terra, sons, palavras que se cospem sozinhas, movimentos que surgem de improvisações que trazem estímulos intemporais e que ficam gravados no nosso corpo. A partir daqui é necessário organizar o caos. Formam-se partituras, que, em modo “tentativa - erro” começam a ser refinadas para encontrarmos uma ordem que nos satisfaça, mesmo que esta satisfação seja momentânea e por isso o processo não tem fim. A regra é a mesma para todos: nascer, viver e morrer. Mas e se pudéssemos renascer as vezes que quiséssemos? Recomeçamos as vezes que forem necessárias, e cada momento vivido será absorvido para se refletir no seguinte. A procura é constante, a repetição, exaustiva, e torna-se “não-repetição”, originando momentos singulares. | pt_PT |
| dc.description.abstract | ABSTRACT - Album or "ALBUS" which has its origin in Latin and means "white": "In classical times, it was the blank book where the Pontiff Maximus recorded facts occurred during the year, as well as important names." In this project, the "ALBUS" gains more dimensions, from the sheet of paper grows a collection that can be absorbed with all the senses. This process arises from the co-creation between two artists with the roots in the same land that provoke each other to slow down to be able to better observe the cycles of nature and themselves. From here arise questions that do not have as a principle to be answered, but rather explored: How does understanding the cycles that surround us help us to live better the different phases? How to look at the cycles and see the duality of the passages? How can understanding the cycle bring acceptance of the end? For our laboratory we started by gathering materials related to the questions that were emerging "by analogy or morphological association (shape and structure), semantic (meanings and psychological evocations) and sensorial (texture, color, aroma, flavor, light and its inflections, sounds)3". We fmd ourselves on a ground swamped with fabrics, memories, graphic experiences, earth, sounds, words that spit themselves out, movements that emerge from improvisations that bring timeless stimuli that are engraved in our bodies. From here on it is necessary to organize the chaos. Scores are formed, which, in a "trial and error" mode, begin to be refined to find an order that satisfies us, even if this satisfaction is momentary and therefore the process has no end. The rule is the same for everyone: be born, live and die. But what if we could be reborn as many times as we wanted? We start over as many times as necessary, and each moment lived will be absorbed to be reflected in the next. The search is constant, the repetition, exhaustive, and becomes "non-repetition", giving rise to singular moments. | pt_PT |
