Abstract(s)
ABSTRACT - The present traineeship report for the Master’s in Dance Teaching with practical application in the Ginasiano Dance School, focused on the study of cognitive processes inherent to the teaching - learning process. From a research, analysis and reflection on the concepts and principles involved in the relationship of cognitive and motor skills of the dancer (mindbody connection), we expect to establish a link of the neurosciences to dance that should be pointed out. So we drew up a set of pedagogical and methodological approaches to be applied in the field of action of the discipline of Classical Dance Technique with high school senior students, of Vocational Dance. With the target audience, we tried to understand how, in a dance class, the available mechanisms are developed and applied, challenging students with differentiated tasks In this sense, a methodology of qualitative research was applied, where research-action, is a central element in the collection and processing of information in a constant dynamic. Through data analysis it was established that during the traineeship the set of lessons planned and executed were well received by the students that were available and encouraged. It became clear that success in learning to dance is inextricably linked to a wide range of cognitive procedures that have to be clearly pointed out in an educational context.
