Abstract(s)
Neste sentido, as instituições do ensino

This model is a strategic management tool that articulates objectives, goals, strategic initiatives and indicators, based on four perspectives, considering the cause-effect relationships between them. In this sense, higher education institutions, which generally have a weak culture of strategic management, can improve their performance through the BSC. In this way, the present study was developed to analyze the performance of two public polytechnic institutes, based on the model developed by McDevitt et al (2008), who presented a single version of the BSC for higher education institutions, presenting perspectives directed towards the academic aspect. Applying this model brings better clarity to the definition of a strategy and a clearer view of where to bet or reduce resources more efficiently and effectively.
