Abstract(s)
2018 no Teatro Nacional Dona Maria II.
ABSTRACT - "One should only write about something it has closely witnessed" said Ivan Thays, in a writing masterclass I attended ten years ago. This internship report is a testament to the adaptation work of Lewis Carroll's original book The Adventures of Alice in Wonderland and Alice from the Other Side of the Mirror by Ricardo Neves-Neves. For two months, with the play draft in my hand, I watched the adaptation of the original text to become the play that was going to premiere on December 27, 2018 at the National Theater (Teatro Nacional Dona Maria II). With this document, I intend to portray the most prevailing issues that arose during the group exercise of interpreting this text with the play actors. Among citations and reports of interventions in the rehearsals, I try to contextualize the topics of the discussions and to demonstrate Ricardo Neves-Neves position and solutions for this work.
