Abstract(s)
fases: a observação estruturada, a participação acompanhada e a lecionação supervisionada.
registo audiovisual e a análise documental.
ABSTRACT - This report was developed within the scope of the Master's Degree in Dance Teaching (10th edition), of the Escola Superior de Dança of the Instituto Politécnico de Lisboa, during the academic year 2021-2022. Developed with the 3rd year class of the Specialized Artistic Teaching of Dance of the Conservatório de Dança do Vale do Sousa, the main goal was to apply exercises from the Progressing Ballet Technique (PBT) program to promote awareness and stabilization of the core, in the discipline of Classical Dance Technique (TDC). Since core stabilization is essential for dance technique, some of the class time was used in this study to promote this aspect. The PBT program works classical technique through the training of muscle memory, required by the different movements, being the core work one of its essential aspects and thus becoming pertinent to its application in the TDC classes. Using an action-research methodology, this work went through three major phases: structured observation, supervised participation and supervised teaching. To understand the contribution of the application of this program, we used as instruments of data collection the logbook, observation grids, questionnaire survey, audiovisual recording and document analysis. It was possible for the students to establish a parallel between PBT and TDC and it was verified that there was an improvement in the awareness of the core in classical dance exercises as well as a greater muscular activation of this area, with greater control of movements in the center section and greater stability and control of posture in movement. Although each class has a different context and therefore it is not advisable that this model be replicated exactly like this, without taking into account the objectives of the class, it is considered that PBT was, and is, a contribution to the promotion of awareness and stabilization of the core in classical dance technique.
