Abstract(s)
tendência a regra.
cidadãos e atores críticos do espaço público, cujas ações online têm implicações
ABSTRACT: In contemporary society, the consumption of online information has changed from a trend to a rule. And, if this technological democratization has become synonymous with ease of access, the truth is that it was also accompanied by the growing circulation of false information and, inversely, by tiny digital skills that allow its detection and denunciation. Especially with regard to younger people, who are also consumers and producers of online information, it is necessary to look at them as citizens and critical actors in the public space, whose online actions have democratic implications inside and outside social networks. However, the initiatives that promote this awareness are still below the needs, so its promotion is essential. In this sense, this study points to media literacy as a way to combat disinformation and, using a qualitative methodology, presents a prototype of a temporary exhibition at the NewsMuseum – a place where the media are thought, based on thematic rooms, but none of which correspond to the topic “disinformation”. Therefore, it was considered pertinent to think of a proposal that would help to fill this gap, promoting, at the same time, the development of skills in this regard for its visitors who, in this case, are mainly children and young people.
