Num contexto de observação e participação na rotina produtiva de uma publicação
especializada em música – a revista BLITZ – o objetivo central deste trabalho é
compreender e analisar o estado atual do jornalismo musical em Portugal, focando a
investigação em quatro questões: géneros jornalísticos, valores-notícia (ou critérios de
noticiabilidade), música portuguesa e música estrangeira.
Partindo do pressuposto de que o jornalismo sobre música se insere na editoria cultural,
este exercício investigativo tem como ponto de partida o enquadramento teórico das
noções de cultura e jornalismo cultural, com especial incidência na cultura de massas.
Antes de partir para uma análise aprofundada do jornalismo musical, nomeadamente no
que diz respeito aos géneros jornalísticos e valores-notícia que lhe estão associados, dáse
ainda atenção aos conceitos de música e sociedade, com o objetivo de compreender
tanto a ligação entre eles, como a sua relação com o jornalismo.
Tendo por base o trabalho realizado durante os três meses de estágio na redação da
BLITZ (de 23 de janeiro a 22 de abril de 2017), serão contabilizados e analisados os
géneros jornalísticos praticados e os valores-notícia dominantes, bem como os
conteúdos respeitantes a música portuguesa e a música estrangeira. Desta forma,
pretendemos compreender a relação entre todos estes fatores na identidade global da
revista e do seu website.
ABSTRACT: In a context of observation and participation on the news production routine of a specialized music publication – BLITZ magazine – the central aim of this paper is to understand and analyse the actual status of music journalism in Portugal, basing the investigation on four issues: journalism genres, news-values (or noticeability criteria), portuguese music and foreign music. Bearing in mind that music journalism is part of the cultural section, this investigative exercise’s starting point is the theoretical framework of the notions of culture and cultural journalism, with a special focus on mass culture. Before a deep analysis of music journalism, particularly in what concerns journalism genres and news-values associated with it, we pay attention to the concepts of music and society, with the objective of understanding the connection between them, and their relationship with journalism. In what regards the work carried out during the three months of internship (from 23rd January to 22nd April 2017), we will count and analyse the journalism genres used in the publication and the dominant news-values, as well as the contents related to portuguese music and, in the other hand, foreign music. Thus, we intend to comprehend the affiliation between all of this aspects in the global identity of BLITZ magazine and its website.
