Abstract(s)
frequentavam a escola no ano letivo 2012/2013.
alunos a consciência corporal e a consciência do movimento, apoiadas numa incorporação
ABSTRACT - This report falls under the Master's Degree in Dance Teaching of the Higher School of Dance - Lisbon Polytechnics. It describes the practice of teaching in one of the Vocational Schools of Dance of the Portuguese educational system, the Academy of Contemporary Dance of Setubal, that is directed to students of the 3rd cycle, specifically for levels Elementary 2 and Intermediate 1 (2nd and 3rd year of vocational education) who attended the school in the academic year of 2012/2013. The subject area of this training was the teaching of the Modern Dance Technique, based on the principles of the Graham language. It was determined as main objective to develop in the students an awareness of the body and an awareness of movement, supported on a creative incorporation of technical movement, which was sought by stimulating a pedagogical strategy with the use of the metaphor and of the visual and mental imagery, in the context of the class of Modern Dance Technique. We started with the gathering of theoretical information related to the pedagogical strategy applied, with the intent to understand how it is that we can tailor it to the teaching of a specific dance technique, in this case the technique of modern dance created by Martha Graham. Also it made part of our research a brief study on the development and the learning process during the period of adolescence. This study was conducted through an action-research methodology, using some of the assessment tools specific to this type of research: observation grids, logbooks and videos that were analyzed according to the proposed methodology. After the research process the results and the related considerations are presented.
