Abstract(s)
O presente relatório surge no âmbito da Unidade Curricular de Prática de Ensino Supervisionada II (PES II), integrada no plano de estudos do Mestrado em Ensino do 1.º Ciclo do Ensino Básico e de Português e História e Geografia de Portugal no 2.º Ciclo do Ensino Básico (CEB).
Este documento é composto por duas partes, sendo que na primeira parte é realizada uma breve caracterização, análise e reflexão das práticas pedagógicas realizadas no 1.º e 2.º CEB e na segunda parte desenvolve-se um estudo de investigação contextualizado na turma de 1.º CEB, do 1.º ano de escolaridade.
O estudo apresentado no presente relatório teve lugar no contexto do 1.º ciclo e decorre das fragilidades identificadas na turma de 1.º ano, sendo intitulado de Rua, Espaços e Funções: Uma experiência didática no 1.º ano do 1.º Ciclo. Este estudo surge da problemática: Qual o contributo do trabalho de campo em meio local para a construção de noções espaciais em crianças do 1.º ano do 1.º CEB? E tem como objetivos (a) Analisar as atividades que podem ser desenvolvidas em trabalho de campo para desenvolver noções espaciais nas crianças; (b) Analisar a evolução da construção do conceito de espaço nas crianças; (c) Identificar as noções espaciais que uma criança pode desenvolver no 1.º ano do 1.º Ciclo (6-7 anos).
Para a realização do estudo a metodologia adotada baseia-se nos procedimentos da Investigação-Ação, sendo que se optou pela utilização de métodos e técnicas de recolha e tratamento de informação de natureza qualitativa. O recurso ao trabalho de campo no meio local, permitiu a construção de conhecimento sobre o comércio e serviços do meio em que as crianças se movimentam diariamente, assim como contribuiu para o desenvolvimento de competências espaciais, em particular de localização de elementos da paisagem que passam a registar, com maior rigor, nos mapas mentais que constroem.
ABSTRACT This report is part of the Curricular Unit of Supervised Teaching Practice II, integrated in the study plan of the Masters in Teaching of the 1st Elementary Education Cycle and of Portuguese and History and Geography of Portugal in the 2nd Elementary Education Cycle. This document is composed by two parts. In the first part, there is a brief characterization, analysis and reflection of the pedagogical practices carried out in the 1st and 2nd Elementary Education Cycle. In the second one, there's a research study contextualized in the 1st Elementary Education Cycle class of the 1st grade. The study presented in this report took place in the context of the 1st cycle and stems from the fragilities identified in the 1st grade class, entitled Street, Spaces and Functions: A didactic experience in the 1st year of the 1st Cycle. This study arises from the problematic: What is the contribution of the field work in local environment for the construction of spatial notions in children of the 1st year of the 1st CEB? It aims to: (a) Analyze the activities that can be developed in fieldwork to develop spatial notions in children; (b) Analyze the evolution of the construction about the concept of space in children; (c) Identify the spatial notions that a child can develop in the 1st year of the 1st Cycle (6-7 years). In order to carry out the study, the adopted methodology is based on the Research-Action procedures, in which where used methods and techniques for collecting and processing information of a qualitative nature. The use of fieldwork in the local environment allowed the construction of knowledge about the commerce and services around the children daily, as well as contributing to the development of spatial skills, in particular the location of landscape elements that are now more accurately recorded in the mental maps they construct.
