Abstract(s)
ABSTRACT - The role of a conductor is very broad. As the orchestra is its instrument and has as its final objective an excellent musical interpretation, it must manage a group of people, motivate them, and extract their maximum potential. Detailed analysis of the work and, consequently, of the score, is essential for me to develop a clear idea of your interpretation and transmit it to the musicians. Communication is therefore also a fundamental aspect of the success of a conductor's work. An important nuance to a conductor's modus operandi appears when approaching a work with a soloist, in this case, the interpretation is no longer based merely on his vision and becomes the fruit of the sharing of sensibilities and ideas between him and the soloist. The way in which all these details should be managed is the core of this study's reflection. My artistic project will be the public performance of the Opera Fidelio Overture and the Violin Concerto in D Major, both works by the composer Ludwig Van Beethoven. Using interviews with renowned conductors, I intend to find some answers that will help me to reflect and face the preparation of the aforementioned artistic project in the best possible way.
