O presente artigo pretende fazer uma retrospectiva sobre o Cinema Português do início do século XXI, tendo como base a análise de três primeiras-obras com diferentes abordagens temáticas e estilísticas: “Alice”, “Farpões Baldios” e “A Metamorfose dos Pássaros”. Procura-se assim esboçar algumas conclusões sobre o que poderia ser um estado da arte da cinematografia nacional, abordando conceitos como o de introspecção, crença, imaginário, herói colectivo e referente social.
ABSTRACT - This article aims to establish a retrospective on Portuguese Cinema of the beginning of the 21st century, analyzing three films with different thematic and stilystic cinematic visions: “Alice”, “Farpões Baldios” and “A Metamorfose dos Pássaros”. With this analysis, we want to elaborate some conclusions about a possible state of art of the contemporany portuguese cinematography, approaching concepts such as: introspection, believe, imagination, collective character and social referent.
