Abstract(s)
ABSTRACT The theme of children’s interactions and relationships was something that, since I entered kindergarten (JI), caught my attention. The ways in which the children related, cared about each other and helped each other, was something that aroused my personal and academic interest and, therefore, I wanted to observe and learn more about the subject. This report illustrates reflections on SPP II, which includes the development of an investigative attitude about interactions between children in kindergarten, the research theme. SPP II was developed in a room with 23 children, aged between 3 and 5 years. This practice started on October 7, 2019 and ended on January 24, 2020. From a methodological point of view, this is a qualitative investigation, with the option of a case study and the privilege, at the level of information collection techniques, by observation, photographs, documentary consultation and informal conversations with the educational team, families and children. The conclusions point out that children tend to form groups according to age and their preferences and experiences. Nevertheless, the research carried out also shows the mutual assistance between peers and the feelings and emotions shown in relation to those with peers who were not part of their subgroups. It was also notable that, when one child was isolated, the others tended not to include him in the games, ending up moving away. Finally, the work reflects on the role of adult mediation in promoting social behaviours among peers, privileging mutual assistance and conflict resolution processes without their intervention.
