Abstract(s)
caso houvesse referência; analisámos as vantagens e desvantagens
ABSTRACT: Nowadays, there are increasingly more couples who are temporary separated, whereas to study or work/train in another country. By what media do they communicate? What do they talk about? What do they miss? Do they live their lives as naturally as a couple that sees each other everyday? For this study, we chose university students who are in a LDR, an usual object of study to its own problematic due to their willingness to participate. To raise awareness of this reality, we explored media of communication mediated by computers used in LDR, or other, if there’s reference; we analysed advantages and disadvantages encountered in this communication, by people who were in that particular moment of the investigation in a LDR, using semi-structured interviews. About the topics we have chose thoughts and feelings about the relationship, notions of distance, dentifying strengths and weaknesses of distance communication as well as the presence of dominant cultural discourses. By this small study, the result is a video with the faces of European Youth. From our point of view, this a portrait of people talking about their LDR (2External Constrains - Technology, Finance, Social Network) and who/what they miss (Interior Constrains - Feelings).
