“Todas as Minhas Filhas” será um longa-metragem sobre saúde mental partindo da minha
experiência como mulher, neurodivergente e brasileira. O filme terá dois domínios; o primeiro
onde uma atriz irá realizar uma performance simbólica da minha experiência nesse universo da
saúde mental, e, um segundo domínio de elementos documentais onde irá ser mostrado o dia a-dia de uma ala psiquiátrica no Brasil, juntamente com entrevistas de colegas que foram
internadas comigo nesse mesmo hospital alguns anos atrás. Para a conclusão do Mestrado
gravei somente um trecho desse longa-metragem: parte da performance, e, entrevistas de
mulheres que passaram por internações psiquiátricas no Brasil. Também fiz uso de uma edição
com características experimentais para mesclar esses dois momentos e animações para ilustrar
as histórias contadas pelas ex-pacientes.
Meu objetivo com o objeto fílmico é narrar minha experiência com a internação psiquiátrica,
expôr atitudes sexistas que ocorrem nesses locais a partir das nossas visões particulares, e,
mostrar como essas experiências podem ser vivenciadas de forma insalubres, mas, ao mesmo
tempo, mostrar que as pacientes também podem construir uma comunidade entre si.
ABSTRACT - "All My Daughters" will be a feature film about mental health based on my experience as a Brazilian neurodivergent woman. The film will have two domains; the first where an actress will perform a symbolic performance of my experience in this mental health realm, and a second domain of documentary elements where the day-to-day life of a psychiatric ward in Brazil will be shown, alongside interviews of colleagues who were hospitalized with me in that same psychiatric ward some years ago. For my master’s degree, I filmed a portion of this feature length film: part of the performance, and interviews with women who had been hospitalized in psychiatric wards in Brazil. I also used experimental editing to merge these two moments and animations to illustrate the stories told by the former patients. My aim with the film is to narrate my experience with psychiatric hospitalization, expose sexist attitudes that occur in these places from our perspectives, and show how distressing these experiences can be, but at the same time show that the patients can also build a community among themselves.
