O papel da leitura à 1ª vista no ensino do instrumento de tecla em Portugal

| dc.description.abstract | Resumo I – Prática Pedagógica - A primeira parte deste trabalho é constituída pelo relatório de estágio realizado no âmbito do Mestrado em Ensino da Música. O Estágio do Ensino Especializado foi realizado no Instituto Gregoriano de Lisboa (IGL) no ano lectivo de 2017-2018, em regime de observação, tendo como professora cooperante a professora Flávia Almeida Castro. Foram observadas quatro aulas semanais, correspondentes a três alunas de cravo que tinham uma aula individual de 45 minutos cada uma, e a outra aula, também de 45 minutos, era partilhada por duas dessas mesmas alunas. As aulas observadas corresponderam a alunas diferentes, o que enriqueceu a minha aprendizagem, por observar técnicas e métodos de trabalho diferentes, adaptados ao nível de cada aluna. O registo das observações destas aulas é o conteúdo das “Fichas de Observação” e é complementado com a informação presente nas “Planificações Anuais”, elaboradas com a ajuda da professora cooperante. Após ter sido docente de Cravo e Instrumento de Tecla no Orfeão de Leiria, Conservatório de Artes durante três anos, foi importante a realização deste estágio, de forma a poder perceber e analisar de forma mais informada a minha prática pedagógica ao longo desses três anos e também confirmar algumas intuições ou desmistificar alguns erros. Em relação à Prática Pedagógica neste Estágio, tive a oportunidade de, em cada período lectivo, orientar uma aula para cada uma das alunas e a aula dividida por duas das alunas, num total de doze aulas, tendo feito os “planos de aula”, gravações dessas aulas e posterior análise e reflexão. Ao longo da Secção I deste trabalho, é possível compreender o contexto de realização do Estágio do Ensino Especializado, sendo apresentada informação relativa a todo o processo: desde as expectativas, passando caracterização da escola e dos alunos selecionados, e terminando numa auto-avaliação e análise crítica sobre a própria docência. | pt_PT |
| dc.description.abstract | Resumo II – Projecto de Investigação - A segunda parte deste trabalho é constituída pelo Projecto de Investigação. O presente trabalho teve como temática o papel da leitura à primeira vista no ensino dos instrumentos de tecla1 em Portugal. A leitura à primeira vista é uma capacidade importante para um músico, que tem de preparar grandes quantidades de repertório, muitas vezes em pouco tempo. É fundamental que, por um lado, o músico utilize técnicas de trabalho e metodologia de estudo que lhe permita chegar aos melhores resultados no mínimo tempo possível. Mas, por outro lado, a capacidade de leitura à primeira vista pode ter um papel muito importante e influenciar este tempo de preparação de repertório. Quanto melhor for a leitura à primeira vista de um músico, menos será o tempo despendido a preparar o repertório, uma vez que o processo de descodificação da linguagem musical, de identificação de motivos e padrões, e de execução pela primeira vez da obra ou trecho musical se torna mais fácil e rápido. Acontece várias vezes que, quando conclui os seus estudos, um instrumentista de tecla mostre algumas falhas no que diz respeito à sua capacidade de leitura, principalmente à capacidade de leitura à primeira vista. Isto deve-se não só ao facto de se focar na preparação de um exame/repertório para apresentação final, como ao facto de tempo de aula dedicado ao trabalho desta capacidade não estar previsto em todos os planos curriculares, e de, por isso, não ser feito com regularidade e método desde os primeiros tempos de estudo de instrumento de tecla. Com este trabalho, pretendeu-se perceber de que forma é que, na comunidade escolar, a leitura à primeira vista é encarada e perceber se pode ou não ser trabalhada de maneira a gerar resultados positivos, e de que forma(s) esse trabalho pode ser feito. Para isso, foi feito um estudo de caso sobre uma população composta por alunos e professores de instrumento de tecladas escolas de ensino especializado da música em Portugal (cujo levantamento foi feito a priori). | pt_PT |
| dc.description.abstract | Abstract I – Pedagogical Practice - The first part of this work is the report of the internship carried out for the master’s in music teaching. The Specialized Teaching’s Internship was taken at Instituto Gregoriano de Lisboa (IGL) in the school year of 2017-2018, in the observation mode. Four weekly lessons were observed, corresponding to three harpsichord students who had an individual lesson each, and the other lesson was shared by two of the same students. The lessons observed corresponded to different students, which enriched my learning process because I saw different techniques and working methods, adapted to the level of each student. The information about these observed lessons is the content of the Observation Sheets (“Fichas de Observação”) and it is complemented by the information present in the Annual Plannings (“Planificações Anuais”), prepared with the help of the cooperating teacher. After being Harpsichord and Keyboard Practice teacher at Orfeão de Leiria, Conservatório de Artes for three years, it was important to do this internship, so that I could better understand and analyze my own teaching methods for those three years and also to check some intuitions or demystify some errors. In what concerns the Pedagogical Practice, in this Internship I was given the opportunity of planning and guiding one lesson for each one of the students mentioned above, including the lesson that is shared by two of the students, in a total of twelve lessons. In this process, the Lesson Plans (“Planos de Aula”) were made, the lessons were recorded and afterwards, an analysis and reflection were made. Throughout the first part of this work (“Secção I”), it is possible to better understand the context of realization of the Specialized Teaching Internship (“Estágio do Ensino Especializado”), being presented information about the whole process: from personal expectations, going through the characterization of the school and the selected students, ending in a self-evaluation and critical analysis about my teaching itself. | pt_PT |
| dc.description.abstract | Abstract II – Research Project The second part of this work is the Research Project. The present work had as its theme the role of sight-reading (reading at first sight) in keyboard instruments’2 teaching in Portugal. Reading at first glance is an important skill for a musician who prepares large amounts of repertoire, often in a short time. It is essential that, on the one hand, the musician uses working techniques and studying methodology that allows him to obtain the best results in the minimum possible time. But on the other hand, the ability to sightread music can play a very important role and influence the time of preparation of the repertoire. The better sight-reading capabilities of a musician, the less time spent preparing the repertoire, since the process of decoding musical language, identifying motives and patterns, and playing for the first time the piece or musical passage becomes easier and faster. It often happens that when a keyboard player completes his studies, he shows some flaws in his reading ability, especially in reading at first glance. This is due not only to the fact that he is focused on preparing an exam or repertoire for the final presentation, but also to the fact that the lesson time devoted to the practice and development of this capability is not presented in all the curriculum plans. Therefore, sight-reading is not done regularly and systematically from the first keyboard instrument lessons. With this work, it’s intended to understand how, in the school community, reading at first sight is seen and to understand whether it can be worked to generate positive results or not and how this work can be done.
