Neste artigo, experimenta-se a possibilidade de leitura de um evento do quotidiano, uma afluência massiva ao supermercado, em virtude de uma promoção especial, ser entendido como evento performativo de significado relevante e, por consequência, discutem-se os limites da arte, em geral, e da performance e do teatro, em particular. No exercício desta leitura, consideram-se fatores habituais na caracterização do evento que se descreve e discute, a saber: os agentes e/ou atores, a ação, o contexto, os espetadores, a participação, as emoções, a crítica, as implicações políticas e éticas, etc..
ABSTRACT - In this article, the possibility of reading an everyday event, a massive turnout to the supermarket, due to a special promotion, is analyzed and discussed. The author uses the performative dimension and significance of the event, exploring, consequently, the limits of art, in general, and performance and theater, in particular. In the exercise of this reading, common factors are considered in the characterization of the event that is described and discussed, namely: the agents and / or actors, the action, the context, the spectators, the participation, the emotions, the criticism, the implications policies and ethics, etc.
