Abstract(s)
O presente projeto prático "O fio que nos une" foi realizado no âmbito do Mestrado em Educação Artística da Escola superior de Educação do Politécnico de Lisboa e explorou questões intergeracionais, em educação artística, juntando crianças e idosos em oficinas de exploração têxtil, em contexto de Área de Enriquecimento Curricular. Desenvolvido em contexto escolar, não-formal no ensino básico, envolveu diferentes grupos comunitários, um grupo de crianças da Escola Básica nº1 de Massamá e um grupo de seniores da Universidade Sénior e do Centro Lúdico local, promovendo a transmissão de saberes estéticos e artísticos tradicionais. Como principal objetivo, pretendeu-se avaliar o impacto da interação entre gerações, os benefícios mútuos e a relevância da troca de conhecimentos históricos e artísticos para o respeito e compreensão entre grupos. Realizado ao longo de seis meses, semanalmente, este projeto integrou a construção de tapeçarias contemporâneas, no contexto do programa das bibliotecas escolares "A poesia sai à rua". A iniciativa incluiu o desenvolvimento de narrativas visuais colaborativas, promoveu a criatividade, a expressão artística e a valorização do trabalho manual. O impacto artístico e socio-emocional foi avaliado, pré e pós-oficina, por meio de entrevistas, observação direta e análise qualitativa dos dados emergentes. O projeto assentou numa abordagem ABR - Art Based Research, cujos diagnósticos, registos audiovisuais, produtos artísticos resultantes e subsequente feedback dos participantes foram, por excelência, os processos de recolha e de análise da realidade. Metaforicamente, "O fio que nos une" utilizou o bordado como símbolo de conexão entre passado e presente, destacando a prática de costurar, tradicionalmente associada às mulheres e aos lavores, como ferramenta de partilha de experiências e histórias culturais. Assim sendo, os capítulos deste relatório foram associados a diferentes tipos de pontos de bordado, criando paralelismo entre esta técnica artesanal e a narrativa do projeto.
Abstract This practical project was carried out as part of the Master’s Degree in Artistic Education at the School of Education of the Polytechnic Institute of Lisbon. The project "The Thread that Connects Us" explored intergenerational issues in artistic education, bringing together children and the elderly in textile exploration workshops within the context of AEC (Curricular Enrichment Area). Developed in a non-formal educational context at the primary school level, nº1, in Massamá, it involved various community groups, including the Senior University and the local Leisure Center, promoting the transmission of traditional aesthetic and artistic knowledge. Its main objective was to evaluate the impact of interaction between generations, the mutual benefits, and the relevance of exchanging historical and artistic knowledge to foster respect and understanding among groups. Conducted over six months on a weekly basis, the project included the creation of contemporary tapestries as part of the school library program "Poetry Goes to the Streets." The initiative involved the development of collaborative visual narratives, promoting creativity, artistic expression, and appreciation for manual work. The artistic and socio-emotional impact was assessed through pre- and post-workshop tests, interviews, direct observation, and qualitative analyses. The project adopted an ABR (Arts-Based Research) approach, incorporating diagnostics, audiovisual records, and participant feedback. Metaphorically, the project used embroidery as a symbol of the connection between past and present, highlighting how the act of sewing, traditionally associated with women, served as a tool for sharing experiences and cultural stories. The chapters of the report were associated with different types of embroidery stitches, drawing a parallel between the craft technique and the narrative of the project.
