Abstract(s)
ABSTRACT - Any creator gets to a point in his artistic creation where he is confronted with the public: what will be the role of the public in the artwork? The surroundings of the art work and all the background that the individual brings with him will bias the way it is perceived. When we think about an interactive piece, this question is even more relevant - the spectator turns into a participant in the art work. But if he turns into a participant, altering his usual role, how will he know what to do? Which are the means at the creators disposal to guide the public? Which are the implications inherent to this shift and will the public turn into a co-creator? These are some of the topics that will be approached within this text, calling upon some real examples and the cognitive sciences.
