dc.description.abstract	O presente relatório integra-se na unidade curricular Prática de Ensino Supervisionada, do Mestrado em Ensino do 1.º e 2.º Ciclo do Ensino Básico, da Escola Superior de Educação de Lisboa, e apresenta uma reflexão sobre todo o percurso desenvolvido. Apresenta também uma investigação motivada pelas inúmeras conceções erróneas apresentadas pelos alunos acerca de vários conceitos científicos (e que são adquiridas no quotidiano). Estas colocam em causa a aquisição correta dos conceitos científicos, quando abordados em contexto formal de aprendizagem. Em conformidade, implementou-se um estudo que permitisse averiguar se uma prática pedagógica que contemplasse de forma explícita as conceções prévias dos alunos seria profícuo para a alteração dessas mesmas conceções sobre o sistema respiratório humano. Para tal, a amostra do estudo foi constituída por um grupo de trinta e oito crianças do 6.º ano de escolaridade do Ensino Básico, com idades compreendidas entre dez e os dezasseis anos de idade. Incluiu os alunos da turma onde foi implementada a Prática de Ensino Supervisionada referente ao 2.º Ciclo do Ensino Básico (grupo experimental) e uma outra turma lecionada por um outro docente (grupo de controlo). A investigação foi elaborada em diversas etapas, sendo iniciada pela aplicação de um questionário (pré-teste) às duas turmas. Este teve como objetivo a identificação de algumas das conceções alternativas sobre o sistema respiratório humano que a literatura indica serem comuns em crianças de idades semelhantes, de modo a se verificar se as mesmas ocorriam nos alunos da amostra do estudo. Posteriormente, foram desenvolvidas atividades que tiveram por base as conceções identificadas, promovendo o conflito cognitivo nos alunos do grupo experimental, tendo como objetivo a sua desconstrução. Por último, após a referida intervenção, aplicou-se o mesmo questionário (pós-teste) às duas turmas, três semanas após a lecionação do conteúdo em causa, com o objetivo de verificar possíveis alterações. Os resultados da investigação revelaram uma diminuição no número de conceções alternativas sobre o tema referido, o que apoia que uma prática docente centrada na desconstrução das conceções erróneas dos alunos é capaz de fazer prevalecer o conhecimento científico.	pt_PT
dc.description.abstract	ABSTRACT This report is part of the curricular unit “Supervised Teaching Practice”, of the Masters in Teaching (Primary Education), in Escola Superior de Educação de Lisboa, and it presents an observation on the journey taken throughout the intervention. It presents an investigation motivated by misconceptions presented to students about scientific concepts (concepts also acquired in everyday life), which interferes with the correct apprehension of the scientific concepts when addressed in a formal learning environment. In accordance, it implemented a study that allowed to verify if a pedagogical approach that would take into consideration the students’ previous conceptions whether they would be profitable in order to change those conceptions, in this case regarding the human respiratory system. With that goal, the study sample was constituted by a group of thirty-eight children in the sixth grade, between ten and sixteen years of age. It included the students in the class where the Supervised Teaching Practice was introduced (experimental group), as well as another class taught by a different teacher (control group). The investigation was elaborated in different stages, having started with a questionnaire (first test) to both classes. The goal was to identify some alternative conceptions about the human respiratory system that literature indicates as being the most common in children that age, just so we could verify if they were present within the students in the sample. After that, we did some activities based on the identified conceptions, promoting the cognitive conflict in the students of the experimental group, having their deconstruction as the ultimate goal. Lastly, after the referred intervention, we did the same questionnaire (second test) to both classes, three weeks after the teaching of the subject, with the goal of identifying possible changes. The result of this investigation indicated a decrease in the number of misconceptions about the subject in the experimental group, which supports a teaching practice focused on the breakdown of students’ misconceptions as one being able to make the scientific knowledge prevail.	en
