Partindo do debate sobre a Teoria Queer e do Novo Cinema Queer, esta dissertação propõe-se
a estudar obras da realização cinematográfica de Karim Ainouz. Mais especificamente seus
filmes Madame Satã e Praia do Futuro. Tendo em vista que a construção de gênero e afeto nessa
teoria é um debate contemporâneo, tenciono, dentro dessa visão, aprofundar temas, tais como, o
amor, o abandono e a família, na narrativa desses filmes. Relacionando-os a outros autores que
abordam a Teoria Queer no seu cinema, com a intenção de discutir se existe uma forma na
narrativa cinematográfica que esteja enquadrado na Teoria Queer.
ABSTRACT - Starting from the debate on Queer Theory and the New Queer Cinema, this dissertation proposes to study works of cinematographic production by Karim Ainouz. More specifically his films Madame Satã and Praia do Futuro. Considering that the construction of gender and affection in this theory is a contemporary debate, I intend, within this vision, to deepen themes, such as love, abandonment and family, in the narrative of these films. Relating them to other authors who approach Queer Theory in their cinema, with the intention of discussing whether there is a form in cinematographic narrative that is framed in Queer Theory.
