| dc.description.abstract | O presente trabalho pretende aprofundar o estudo da acção do vento, analisando a quantificação da sua acção a pontes reais. Consiste na discussão da aplicação da norma NP EN 1991-1-4 (Eurocódigo 1 – Acções em estruturas; Parte 1-4: Acções gerais; Acções do vento) e na discussão das diferenças dos resultados obtidos em relação ao Regulamento de Segurança e Acções para Estruturas de Edifícios e Pontes (RSA), nomeadamente quanto aos valores característicos da acção do vento. São explicados os principais factores que influenciam a acção do vento em pontes, referenciando diversos estudos recentes e baseando-se nos regulamentos em análise. É feito um estudo cuidadoso na quantificação da acção do vento segundo o RSA e segundo a NP EN 1991-1-4, em que se discutem e analisam as diferenças encontradas. Em seguida quantifica-se a acção do vento em exemplos reais, usando os dois regulamentos. A comparação dos resultados obtidos permite verificar que, no caso específico de Portugal, apesar do período de retorno da NP EN 1991-1-4 ser bastante inferior ao do RSA, no Anexo Nacional da NP EN 1991-1-4 os valores relativos à quantificação da acção do vento, nomeadamente no valor básico da velocidade de referência, nas categorias de rugosidade do terreno e nos valores característicos da pressão dinâmica da NP EN 1991-1-4, são da mesma ordem de grandeza ou até superiores aos apresentados no RSA. | pt_PT |
| dc.description.abstract | Abstract: The present work has the goal of a further study of the action of the wind, analyzing the quantification of their action to real bridges. It consists in the discussion of the application of the norm NP EN 1991-1-4 (Eurocode 1 – Actions on structures; Part 1-4: General actions; Wind actions) and the discussion in the differences of the results obtain by the RSA (Buildings and Bridges Safety and Actions Design Code), regarding to the characteristic values of the wind action. It is explained the major factors that influence the action of the wind in bridges, on which are referenced by several recent studies. There is still one explanation, concerning to the regulations in study that make to the referred factors. It is made a careful study in the quantification of the action of the wind according to the RSA and the NP EN 1991-1-4. The differences found are discussed and analyzed. Then, the wind action is quantified to real examples, using the two norms (RSA and NP EN 1991-1-4). The comparison of the results obtained allow to verify that, in the specific case of Portugal, despite the return period of the NP EN 1991-1-4 being far lower than the RSA, in the National Annex of the NP EN 1991-1-4 the characteristic values of the wind action, particularly in the basic value of the reference wind speed, terrain roughness categories and in the characteristic values of peak velocity pressure of the NP EN 1991-1-4, are the same order of magnitude or even higher than those presented in the RSA. | en |
