| dc.description.abstract | O presente relatório surgiu no âmbito da Unidade Curricular Prática de Ensino Supervisionada, inserida no plano de estudo do Mestrado em Ensino do 1.º e 2.º Ciclo do Ensino Básico (CEB), com o objetivo de apresentar de uma forma reflexiva o processo de intervenção educativa. Ao longo deste processo, que decorreu no 1.º CEB, foi desenvolvido um estudo focado na utilização de materiais manipuláveis na medida de comprimento e área numa turma do 2.º ano de escolaridade. Através da realização deste estudo procurou-se perceber quais os contributos da utilização dos materiais manipuláveis na compreensão dos conceitos de comprimento, perímetro e área. Deste modo, foi elaborada uma sequência de tarefas, nas quais através da manipulação de materiais manipuláveis diversos, tais como palhinhas, material Cuisenaire, pentaminós e geoplano, com os quais eram trabalhados os conceitos de comprimento, perímetro e área. Todas as atividades foram iniciadas com a análise do enunciado, seguida de um trabalho a pares ou pequenos grupos, e finalizada com a discussão coletiva de ideias e resoluções que permitiam a construção de conclusões sobre os conceitos trabalhados. A metodologia adotada integra a metodologia investigação-ação, para a qual foram utilizadas como técnicas de recolha de dados, essencialmente, a observação participante e não participante, a pesquisa documental e bibliográfica e dois testes. Relativamente aos resultados da investigação, foi possível constatar que os materiais contribuem positivamente para alcançar os objetivos de aprendizagem atitudinal e cognitiva, nomeadamente na motivação, interesse e espírito colaborativo, e na compreensão dos conceitos abordados. | pt_PT |
| dc.description.abstract | ABSTRACT The present report is under the scope of the Supervised Teaching Practice II, part of the study plan of the Masters in 1st and 2nd Cycle of Basic Education Teaching (BET), with the objective of presenting the process of educational intervention in a reflexive way. Along the educational intervention, which occurred on the 1st BET, a study was developed focused in the usage of manipulative materials, that can be manipulated in length and area, on a 2nd year class. Through this study, it was attempted to comprehend which could be the contribution of those manipulative materials in the understanding of the concepts of length, perimeter, and area. A sequence of tasks was elaborated, in which through the manipulation of diverse materials, like straws, Cuisenaire materials, pentominoes, and geoplans, the concepts of length, perimeter, and area, were put in practice. All the activities were started with the analysis of the statement, followed by activities performed in pairs or small groups, and ending with a group discussion of ideas and solutions that allowed reaching conclusions about the worked concepts. The adopted methodology, is part of the action research methodology, for which, were used as data collection technics, essentially, participative and non-participative observation, documentary and bibliographical research, and two tests. Regarding the results of the investigation, it was possible to perceive that the materials have a positive contribution to reach the goals of the attitudinal and cognitive learning, more specifically in motivation, interest, and collaborative spirit, and in the understanding of the concepts.
