Abstract(s)
O presente relatório insere-se no âmbito da Unidade Curricular Prática de Ensino Supervisionada II do Mestrado em Ensino do 1.º Ciclo do Ensino Básico e de Português e História e Geografia de Portugal no 2.º Ciclo do Ensino Básico. Este relatório encontrase dividido em duas partes: a primeira relativa à descrição da prática pedagógica desenvolvida no 1.º e 2.º Ciclo do Ensino Básico, em turmas do 1º e 5.º ano, com a
respetiva análise reflexiva; e a segunda consta da apresentação de um estudo desenvolvido sobre o tema “Avaliação de qualidade de escrita no 5.º ano em textos narrativos”. O objetivo geral da investigação é compreender a relação entre qualidade textual e sucesso académico e tem como objetivos específicos: 1) Compreender a relação entre qualidade textual e a média das notas das crianças; 2) Entender a relação entre qualidade de texto e as classificações obtidas nas disciplinas de Português, Matemática e História e Geografia de Portugal; 3) Comparar qualidade textual tendo em conta
características demográficas. O estudo é de natureza mista, tratando-se de um estudo de caso. Para a
metodologia privilegiou-se a análise documental como técnica de recolha de dados, sendo os participantes alunos de duas turmas de 5.º ano – com um corpus de 29 textos. Para a análise de dados recorreu-se à análise de conteúdo, sendo os dados categorizados e interpretados c tratados om recurso a gráficos e aos programas informáticos Microsoft Excel, Stata 16.1 e Pyton. Os resultados demonstram uma correlação positiva forte entre qualidade textual e a média das notas dos alunos, bem como nas disciplinas de Português, Matemática e História e Geografia de Portugal, não existindo, no entanto uma correlação significativa
com as características demográficas.
ABSTRACT The present report was written for the unit of Supervised Teaching Practice II, of the master’s degree in Teaching of the 1st Cycle of Basic Education and Mathematics and Natural Sciences in the 2nd Cycle of Basic Education. This report is divided in two parts: the first one describes the practicum developed in the 1st and 2nd Cycle of Basic Education, in classes of 1st and 5th grade, with an reflexive analyses; in the second part there’s is a presentation of a study developed about the theme “Evaluation of the writing quality of narrative texts in 5th graders”. The general objective of the investigation is to comprehend the relationship between text quality and academical achievement and has as specific objectives: 1) To comprehend the relationship between text quality and the children’s grade average; 2) To understand the relationship between text quality and the grades obtained in the subjects of Portuguese, Mathematics and History and Geography of Portugal; 3) To compare the text quality considering demographic characteristics. The research uses mixed methods research. The methodology used was the documental analysis, as a data collection technique, and the participants were two classes of 5th graders – with a corpus of 29 texts. For the data analysis I used the content analysis method, which means that I categorized the data and interpreted them using graphics and informatic programs such as Microsoft Excel, Stata 16.1 and Pyton. The results show that there is a positive strong correlation between text quality and the children’s grade average, as well as in the disciplines of Portuguese, Mathematics and History and Geography of Portugal, however, there is no significant correlation between the demographic characteristics.
