Abstract(s)
O presente Trabalho Final de Mestrado teve como objetivo o estudo da requalificação
de uma parte da rede de drenagem unitária da cidade de Lisboa. Foram escolhidos
alguns arruamentos que cumpriam duas condições, terem uma rede de drenagem
unitária, e que o sistema de órgãos de escoamentos pluviais apresentasse uma
localização adequada embora as dimensões pudessem ser melhoradas para
aumentar a capacidade de captação das águas pluviais.
Após a análise da rede existente, desenvolveu-se então, a fundamentação e
caracterização de uma nova rede de drenagem pluvial, que permitisse separar estes
caudais dos caudais residuais, que pela sua natureza apresentam características
bioquímicas muito diferentes, com outras exigências no seu transporte e tratamento.
A fase de projeto escolhida para este Trabalho Final de Mestrado foi a de
fundamentação e caracterização do Projeto Base, definindo os elementos do
Programa Base necessários, que não apresentando uma análise demasiado
exaustiva, permite apresentar os dados para uma decisão fundamentada e
responsável.
A abordagem científica utilizada permitiu calcular os caudais afluentes com um
adequado estudo hidrológico, dimensionar os coletores por diversos métodos, verificar
a resistência estrutural destes e dimensionar os sumidouros, fugindo, no entanto, dos
métodos simplificados frequentemente utilizados pelos projetistas, que, por serem
demasiado sistematizados, são suscetíveis de criar e propagar erros, com um custo
financeiro elevado.
The purpose of this study was to define the partial renewal of the combined sewerage system in the city of Lisbon. The area of this study was chosen in order to fulfil two conditions, the existence of a combined sewerage system and an adequate localization of collection drains although with possible upgrade of their dimensions to an increased efficiency on stormwater collection. After the analysis of the existing combined sewerage system, a new stormwater collection and transport system was designed, based on scientific design criterions. The new system will separate stormwater surface run-off from the sewerage flows, since they have distinct biochemical characteristics and, conversely different collection and treatment requirements. This study details the design phases needed for the further Preliminary Design definition of the new stormwater system, providing data and fundamental considerations on the solution to be adopted. It provides information for the forthcoming design phases towards the clear final definition of the project. The scientific approach allowed the calculation of stormwater flows based on several adequate hydrological studies, the definition of storm pipes and storm drains dimensions and the verification of pipes structural resistance. Emphasis should be addressed in the fact that methods often used by designers were avoided, since they usually adopt simple systematic approaches, which often leads to significant errors, with high financial costs.
